Our Team
Masechaba has led several SROI consulting engagements and specialises in the areas of Sustainability, Social Investment Strategy and Impact Measurement, and is recognised in the renewable energy industry as one of the leading minds in the area of economic development. She is an SROI Practitioner, having completed SROI projects in mining and most recently for Distell and its partner NGOs; and a Social Investment Strategist, with experience in Community Development strategy formulation, projects implementation and reporting; and operationalising community trusts. She holds a BSc in Actuarial Science and BScHons in Statistics, both from Wits University.
Masechaba’s career spans Renewable Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability, Energy Regulation and Banking and she has led industry initiatives and forums on Socioeconomic and Enterprise Development issues, including as the Chair of the SAWEA and SAPVIA SED Working Groups.
Methuli is a multi-disciplinary professional with over 17 years’ experience in industrial consulting, technology management, large scale commercial project development, project management, infrastructure financing and stakeholder engagement. He continually advocates for business practices that advance social sustainability and foster shared value strategies.
He is the co-founder and Executive Director of Forethought Africa (partner company to EI), an advisory and management services company positioned to contribute towards the growth of business and investment opportunities across the African continent, with a strong focus on long term value creation and relevance to society.
Methuli holds an MBA, a Master’s degree in Chemistry and a number of professional qualifications, including completion of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership’s Prince of Wales Business and Sustainability Programme for Senior Executives.
He enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with family and friends, and relaxation in quiet natural environments.
Reinoud is a highly experienced SROI expert, being the first SROI practitioner in South Africa (2010) and the current Managing Director of Behold SA. He has undertaken and led a number of SROI, CSI, and social value creation assignment across different industries in South Africa and abroad for clients including SASOL, Alexander Forbes, Enke, GreenSource and Distell.
Reinoud holds and MSc in Business Administration, with specialisation in Corporate Social Responsibility from the Erasmus University Rotterdam(Netherlands). His career spun from brand management to CSR for European and South African companies.
Over the years he has built solid competencies in Monitoring and Evaluation, behavioural change assessments, impact measurement and management, as well as research. He is the inaugural and current Chairman of the local network.
Kulani works as head of finance and supports operations management function for Embedding Impact. She holds a Bcom Accounting degree from the University of Johannesburg, currently studying towards being a CA. She joined Embedding Impact as an accounting intern in 2019, where she was responsible for bookkeeping and management accounts, as well as tax compliance (supporting an external Accountant).
Kulani is interested in Information Technology and is improving on her photographic skills.
Katlego is a development and social impact measurement consultant trained in SROI, with experience working with both private and non-profit clients including Sibanye Stillwater, SEED, Distell Limited, TUHF, MIC, Distell Development Trust, Anglo Coal and Green Source, and across various development focus areas.
She holds a BA Hons in Development Studies from Nelson Mandela University, and currently enrolled for her Masters degree.
She is a proactive, continuous learner with interests in public speaking, coaching and professional team building.
Thuli is a trained and experienced consultant on SROI and has worked on various assignments including Sibanye Stillwater, Amakhala Emoyeni Wind Farm Community Trust, Tsitsikamma Wind Farm Community Trust and Distell Foundation.
She holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences- Psychology & Sociology from Rhodes University and training in education. Over the years, Thuli has built solid administration and project management experience and is passionate about development work.
Tsire is a junior consultant who started her formal career at Embedding Impact as an intern and a SIM Graduate Programme participant in 2020. The programme has given her an opportunity to explore and to learn about how to bring about change and calculate its impact, whether it be positive or negative. Part of the programme has given her an opportunity to focus on personal growth and gain skills for the workplace as facilitated by The Experience Factory.
Tsire holds a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies and enjoys challenges, especially learning new things that take her out of comfort zone.

Sanele hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Development Studies (majoring in Public Management and Governance). She is intrigued by the positive role of technology and its contribution to socio-economic development in South Africa and the broader African continent.
She has passion for gender diversity and equality, and the recognition of young black people who have created a positive change in their communities, especially in the field of technology and science.
